Located in San Diego this is one of the many "hikes you have to do" when visiting the San Diego area.  There are a couple ways of reaching said Chip Rock and on this day we did it via the Mt. Woodson Trail. This hike was roughly about 7.5 miles long with an elevation gain of about 2,106 ft. Overall the hike was not really hard but not easy either. By the time I made it to the top. I was drenched in sweat.  In the beginning as during the ascent you get some nice views of Lake Poway. Further along you get views of neighborhoods off in the distant.
